Just Hold

Terms of Service

Just Hold Ltd — Effective 5 March 2026 — Last updated 5 March 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and Just Hold Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16976542.

Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom

These Terms govern your use of the Just Hold fitness-tracking web application (“the App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and handle your data and forms part of these Terms. Please read it before creating an account.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Family plan account owners may create profiles for household members aged 13 and over. The account owner is responsible for ensuring all profile users meet this age requirement and, where applicable, that the owner has appropriate authority (such as parental responsibility) to manage profiles on behalf of minors.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will delete their account.

3. Your Account

You can create an account using an email address and password (minimum 6 characters) or by signing in with Google.

Email confirmation is required before you can fully access the App.

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account, including activity under family profiles you manage

One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts. The exception is the Family plan, which lets the account owner create profiles for household members under a single login (see Section 8).

Your display name must not impersonate another person or contain offensive, misleading, or illegal content. We reserve the right to change display names that violate this rule.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in serious cases.

4. What the App Provides

The App is a digital service within the meaning of the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Workout tracking — Log the duration of three isometric exercises (plank, hang, and wall squat) with the date and time. View your history through progress charts.
  • Personal bests — The App tracks your longest hold for each exercise and celebrates new records.
  • Achievement badges — Earn badges for milestones such as streaks and personal bests. Share achievements with your groups.
  • Groups — Create groups, invite friends via shareable links, and track progress together. Groups include leaderboards (weekly, monthly, and all-time) and an activity feed.
  • Notifications — Real-time in-app notifications and optional email digests keep you informed of group activity and personal milestones.
  • Feature requests — Submit suggestions for new features or improvements.
  • Profile customisation — Upload an avatar image (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, maximum 2 MB) and set a display name.

The App must meet the statutory standards for digital content: satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose, and as described. Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms (see Section 13).

5. Subscription Plans and Free Trial

Plans

Friends PlanFamily Plan
AccountsUp to 4 separate accounts, each with their own loginUp to 5 profiles under one shared login
Friend sponsorshipCan sponsor up to 3 additional friends for free (see Section 7)Not available
Who controls itEach account holder manages their own dataAccount owner manages all profiles

Both plans include all App features. Current prices are displayed on the subscribe page before you pay.

Free trial

Every new account receives a 7-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue logging workouts. You can still view your existing workout history and progress charts without subscribing.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe
  • All prices include VAT where applicable
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. We will charge the payment method you provided to Stripe
  • Stripe handles all payment card data. We never see or store your card numbers
  • If we change our prices, we will notify you at least 30 days before your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you do not wish to pay the new price

6. Cancellation and Refunds

How to cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page.

  • Cancel at period end (default): You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No further charges after cancellation.
  • Cancel immediately: Access ends straight away.

After cancellation or trial expiry

You can still view your workout history and progress charts, but you cannot log new workouts, access group leaderboards, or earn achievements. Your data is preserved. If you resubscribe, you regain full access with all your history intact.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, your account moves to “past due” status. Stripe will automatically retry the payment. You retain full access during the retry period. If payment ultimately fails, your subscription will be cancelled.

Refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for digital content purchases. Because the App provides immediate access upon subscription, you acknowledge that you may lose this right of cancellation once you begin using the paid service.

Beyond the statutory cooling-off period, refunds are at our discretion. To request a refund, email support@justhold.app.

7. Friend Sponsorship

If you have a Friends plan subscription, you can invite up to 3 friends for free access to the App through your group invitations.

How it works

  • When you create a group and invite a friend who does not have a subscription, the App offers them a sponsored (free) account
  • Only invitations generated by the group owner carry sponsorship. Invitations shared by other group members do not
  • Sponsored friends receive full access to the App at no cost

When sponsorship ends

Sponsorship ends when any of the following occurs:

  • The sponsored friend leaves all of the sponsor's groups
  • The sponsor removes the friend from all of their groups
  • The sponsor cancels their own subscription

When sponsorship ends, the friend enters a 7-day grace period. During this time they can still use the App. After the grace period, they must subscribe independently or they will lose the ability to log new workouts.

If the sponsor re-invites the friend during the grace period, the sponsorship is reactivated.

Important notes

  • Sponsorship slots are not transferable between friends
  • Sponsors may end sponsorship at any time by removing the friend from their groups
  • We are not responsible for disputes between sponsors and sponsored friends

8. Family Profiles

The Family plan allows the account owner to create up to 5 profiles under a single login. Family profiles are intended for members of the same household aged 13 and over.

Account owner responsibilities

  • The account owner has full visibility and control over all profiles and their workout data
  • The account owner is responsible for ensuring all profile users agree to these Terms
  • For minors aged 13–17, the account owner must have parental responsibility or equivalent legal authority
  • The account owner is responsible for all activity under their family profiles

How profiles work

  • Each profile can log workouts and track progress independently
  • Only the account owner can create groups, join groups with external members, and manage the subscription
  • If the account owner's subscription ends, all profiles lose the ability to log new workouts
  • Deleting a profile preserves its workout data within the account. The data is removed when the entire account is deleted

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use the App to:

  • Upload offensive, illegal, threatening, or harmful content (including display names, avatars, group names, and group images)
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Interfere with the App's operation, including through automated scripts, scraping, or denial-of-service attacks
  • Log fraudulent workout data (for example, artificially inflated hold times) to manipulate group leaderboards
  • Submit abusive, threatening, or spam content through the feature request system
  • Create multiple accounts to extend free trials or circumvent subscription requirements

Reporting issues: The App does not currently have an in-app reporting or blocking system. If you encounter inappropriate content or behaviour, please email support@justhold.app.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice in serious cases.

10. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to the App, including avatar images, group images, display names, and workout data.

By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the App. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we are legally required to retain data (see our Privacy Policy).

File restrictions: Avatar and group images must be JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF format and no larger than 2 MB.

Workout data belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your workout history.

Visibility within groups: When you join a group, other members can see your display name, avatar, exercise type, hold duration, and when you logged a workout. Your email address is never shown to other users. See our Privacy Policy, Section 7 for full details.

11. Our Intellectual Property

The App — including its design, source code, branding, exercise guides, demonstration videos, and all associated intellectual property — belongs to Just Hold Ltd.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our written permission.

Feedback and feature requests you submit may be used by us to improve the App. By submitting feedback, you agree that we may use it without restriction and without obligation to compensate you.

12. Health and Safety

The App is not a medical device. It records hold durations as simple timers. It does not measure biometric data, provide medical advice, or offer physiotherapy or personal training services.

Before starting any exercise programme, consult your doctor, particularly if you have pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or are pregnant.

Plank, hang, and wall squat exercises carry inherent physical risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, joint injury, and falls. You are responsible for exercising safely and within your own limits. Except where caused by our negligence, breach of statutory duty, or any matter we cannot lawfully exclude, we are not responsible for injury, illness, or adverse health outcomes arising from exercises you choose to perform.

Exercise guides within the App are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional instruction.

If you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort during any exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015

Subject to the above, we are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity
  • Any inability to use the App due to technical issues, maintenance, or service interruption
  • The actions, content, or conduct of other users (including group members, sponsors, or sponsored friends)
  • The accuracy of workout data (you are responsible for entering your own times)

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Your statutory rights are not affected. If you are a consumer in the UK, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If the App does not meet the statutory standards for digital content, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.

14. Availability and Changes to the App

We aim to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may:

  • Perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability
  • Add, change, or remove features at any time

Where we remove a feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice where practicable.

We will not materially reduce the core paid features of your plan during a paid billing period without giving you reasonable notice and, where appropriate, the right to cancel or receive a pro-rata refund.

The App requires an internet connection and a modern web browser. We are not responsible for your internet connection, device compatibility, or browser support.

15. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account by emailing privacy@justhold.app. We will delete your account within 30 days of a verified request.

What gets deleted

Your account, all family profiles, all workout data, and all group memberships.

What we retain

Financial records (Stripe customer ID, subscription history) for 6 years, as required by UK tax law. Group activity feed messages you authored may be retained in anonymised form.

Impact on others

  • If you are a group owner, your groups will be deleted and all members removed
  • If you are a sponsor, your sponsored friends will enter a 7-day grace period and then need their own subscription
  • If you are a sponsored friend, your sponsorship ends immediately upon your account deletion

See our Privacy Policy, Sections 8 and 11 for full data retention details.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account before the changes take effect.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Consumer rights: If you are a consumer, nothing in this section affects your statutory rights to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, including under EU Regulation 1215/2012 (Brussels I Recast) or equivalent legislation.

Before bringing a formal claim, we encourage you to contact us at support@justhold.app so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

18. Team Subscriptions and Organisation Accounts

This section applies to organisations that subscribe to Just Hold Teams and to individual users who are invited to join an organisation's groups.

Plans and pricing

Just Hold Teams is offered in four tiers: Team (up to 15 members), Starter (up to 50 members), Growth (up to 500 members), and Enterprise (custom). Current prices are displayed on the Teams page before you subscribe. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT and VAT is added at checkout where applicable. Annual billing is available on request; contact sales@justhold.app for a quote.

Free trial

Every new organisation receives a 30-day free trial with full access to the selected tier. No credit card is required to start the trial. During the trial you may invite members, create groups, and use the admin dashboard as if you were paying. If you do not subscribe by the end of the trial, your organisation's groups will be archived (see “When a subscription ends” below).

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly (or annually, by arrangement) via Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period against the payment method you provided to Stripe.
  • If we change our prices, we will notify the organisation's billing contact at least 30 days before the next renewal. You may cancel before then if you do not wish to pay the new price.
  • VAT invoices are available from the Customer Portal linked from your team settings.

Admin roles and member privacy

An organisation owner or administrator can invite members to the organisation's groups, view participation metrics, and manage group membership. Administrators cannot see individual workout durations, personal bests, or specific exercises performed by members. See our Privacy Policy for full details of what data each role can access.

Cancellation

An organisation owner can cancel the subscription at any time from the team settings page. On cancellation, the organisation keeps access until the end of the current billing period. There are no refunds for partial periods. At the end of the period the organisation enters a short read-only grace window before its groups are archived.

When a subscription ends (cancellation, non-payment, or trial expiry)

  • The organisation's groups are archived and admin access to the dashboard is closed.
  • Members of the archived groups keep their personal accounts, workout history, and any personal subscriptions or sponsorships. Their personal data is not deleted by the cancellation.
  • The organisation can be reactivated by resubscribing; archived groups are preserved for a reasonable period and may be restored on request.

Acceptable use by organisations

Organisations using Just Hold Teams agree to comply with section 9 (Acceptable Use) and, when inviting employees or members, to ensure they have a lawful basis for enrolling those people (for example, the person's consent or a legitimate workplace wellness programme communicated to them). The organisation is responsible for how it uses the engagement data it receives and for honouring any member request to be removed from the programme.
